As you might have seen in June’s email, the way new participants receive their Welcome Packs will change from 1 September.

Instead of Leaders handing them out, young people will now receive newly updated packs directly to their homes when they register their address on eDofE.

For operational reasons, Leaders will continue to give out Welcome Packs to participants who live in Northern Ireland or are doing their DofE in the secure estate. Packs for those who have overseas home addresses will go to their DofE centre, addressed to the participant by name.

If you’re a DofE Manager you’ll be sent a new pack before the first batch is dispatched to participants, so you have a chance to see what they will be receiving. You can also see digital versions here.

We hope this new approach will motivate and excite young people and their families from the start – while removing the need for Leaders to manage and distribute packs.

And don’t forget — if you’re looking for ways to recruit and welcome young people, parents and carers, take a look at our new downloadable films and presentations.
